Practice Resources: Oklahoma Computer Assisted Legal Research

Oklahoma State Courts Network (OSCN)

Oklahoma State Courts Network (OSCN) has a wealth of information available for attorneys and those doing legal research. On OSCN, you can search court dockets, find a pictorial directory of Oklahoma judges, and find court information (and links, if available).  Perhaps the most valuable feature of OSCN is the Electronic Law Library, found under the "Legal Research" tab at the top of the homepage.  There are Oklahoma Statutes Citationized, Oklahoma case law, session laws, court rules, and many other incredibly useful resources.

OBA Website and FastCase

The OBA website provides access to FastCase for OBA members, as well as other useful information for Oklahoma attorneys.

Oklahoma County Website

On the Oklahoma County website, you can get real property information (through the Assessor link and the Treasurer link), view UCC filings on personal property by clicking on the link for the County Clerk, run warrant searches through the Sheriff's link, and find information about a variety of local governmental services.

Oklahoma Indigent Defense System--Unpublished Court of Criminal Appeals Decisions

The Oklahoma Indigent Defense System (OIDS) has some unpublished cases from the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals.  These opinions were selected for their potential value to defense lawyers.  The Rules of the Court of Criminal Appeals permit citation to unpublished opinions in certain circumstances.  These cases are from 1999-present.

Department of Corrections

The Department of Corrections provides a free inmate look up.

LexisNexis Communities (Formerly LexisOne)

LexisNexis Communities provides free access to case law from the past ten years.
