Learning Enhancement Center

The LEC is here to promote student academic success through peer guidance and support to OCU students

  

Peer educators of the LEC offer skilled guidance in writing, subject-specific tutoring, and academic coaching for undergraduate and graduate students of OCU. Peer educators are here to help students succeed by cultivating confidence and independent learning skills through collaboration and support. 

The LEC offers free peer services to all students to ensure academic success:

  • 50-minute one-on-one sessions 
  • Drop-in tutoring 
  • Online tutoring 
  • In-person tutoring
  • Academic Coaches are peer educators and the LEC Supervisor who extend skills in time management, test taking, organization, and identifying academic resources. 

The LEC is a safe place to inquire, learn, and ask questions. To connect with a peer educator, schedule an appointment for a time that works for you. More information about booking appointments can be found below or under the "book an appointment" tab.

How to Schedule A Tutoring Session

  • Click Schedule an Online Appointment or Schedule an In Person Appointment 
  • Pick the subject you need
  • Choose a date and time from those available
  • Click on that time and complete the form
  • You will receive an email confirmation with a Microsoft Teams link for online appointments
  • On the day and time of your appointment, click on the Teams link time to join, or come to the Dulaney-Browne Library and look for Peer Educator signs (just outside room 115).
