American Counseling Association (ACA) The ACA is a not-for-profit, professional and educational organization that is dedicated to the growth and enhancement of the counseling profession.
Oklahoma Counseling Association (OCA) OCA provides educational opportunities, support and a community for counselors of all types. Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies The Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies is a multidisciplinary organization committed to the enhancement of health and well-being by advancing the scientific understanding, assessment, prevention, and treatment of human problems through the global application of behavioral, cognitive, and biological evidence-based principles.
NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals, represents the professional interests of more than 100,000 addiction counselors, educators and other addiction-focused health care professionals in the United States, Canada and abroad. Career Resources

While professional organizations and websites can be a great resource for career information in your field, don't forget that OCU also has its own Career Services office! It is located in the Martha Burger Career Services Center, in the Meinders School of Business, suite 200, and is there to help students in every major (not just business). The office is open from 8-5 Monday-Friday and they do take walk-in questions, but it's best to either call (405) 208-5171 or email [email protected] to make an appointment. They can help with resumes, job searching, graduate school applications, and much more!
