Yankee Book Peddlar is our primary book vendor supplying books from a variety of publishers. We have a deposit account set up with them where we send them funds to keep and apply to our our book purchases. Each shipment comes with an invoice that shows a balance due but they have automatically paid the invoice using our deposit account funds. They send a monthly statement showing what we have spent.
Occasionally we order from other publishers such as Thomson/West, Aspen/Wolters Kluwer, Lexis, etc. for book orders since Yankee doesn't give us our contracted discount of 16.5% on these publishers. Sometimes we can get 10-20% discount from these publishers especially when the total dollar amount is high. I usually have to ask for a discount and almost always they give us something. Lee decided in mid-2014 to buy all of the new American Bar Association books thru Yankee since we had quite a large balance with them in our prepaid account.
For RUSH books orders we use AMAZON.com. We have an account set up there and are paying the annual fee for Amazon Prime to get 2 day delivery. My OCU credit card has been listed as the way we want to pay. Once these books are received they are also processed RUSH.
