In 1980-1981 fiscal year we did a physical count of all volumes in the library. We did not have an accurate title count. To get our title count we counted how many titles where in 1" of a shelf-list drawer. Then we measured in inches the entire shelflist to get our estimated title count.
In 2011 the circulation dept. began another physical inventory of titles and volumes. They used a scanner to scan the bar code in each volume. The project was finally completed in fall 2012. Over 14,000 volumes were found missing.
