Step by Step Walkthrough

Once you have established that the Law Library does not own the material you are looking for, visit the Databases page. From the law school home page, click on Library.



Click on the Databases and Links tab.



This will take you to the Databases Libguide.  Here, the databases are listed in alphabetical order by title.  Scroll down to W for WorldCat.

Clicking on the WorldCat link will take you to Basic Search page.  To better narrow your search and find what you are looking for, click on advanced search.


If you were looking for information on the Constitution and nuclear weapons policy, you could try:

On the results page, items owned by the Oklahoma City University Law Library will be marked:

Clicking on this link will take you to the catalog record for the item with information on how to locate the item in the library.

If you are interested in requesting on item we don't own, click on the title of the item.  This will open the OCLC record.  Then click on the blue "Request Item" located under the photo of the cover.


This will take you to a simple web form.  Fill out each field, using your official Oklahoma City University email address and your B number as your Patron ID.  Use the status drop-down menu to select your patron type: Law Student, Law Faculty, Visiting Scholar, Librarian, Law Staff, or Law Review.


Once your request has been submitted, OCLC will direct you back to the item record and display this message:
