Mental Health Resources for Law Students and Lawyers: Introduction

Purpose of this Guide

This guide has been developed to serve as an overview of some of the mental health issues facing law students/ lawyers and a portal to mental health resources for law students and attorneys. 

The tab "A Terrible Melancholy: Resources and Information" provides background information about the documentary A Terrible Melancholy and its producer. 

The "Law Library Resourcesoffers examples of books available in the Chickasaw Nation Law Library at Oklahoma City University School of Law targeting the mental well-being of law students and legal professionals.

The next page "Campus Resourcesprovides information and links to various campus departments and services available to OCU law students. 

The "OBA Resources" page provides information and links to resources to attorneys through the Oklahoma Bar Association.

The "Community Resources" tab provides information and links to low cost mental health services and related programs. 

The "National Resources" tab provides links to national association and websites with information about mental health in general.

The "Current Awareness" tab highlights several blogs, podcasts, and articles related to mental health in the legal profession.

Finally, "ABA Resources"  provides links to ABA resources, OCU SBA information, and the ABA Mental Health Initiative.
