VISION

To deliver innovative workshops to students and attorneys that will prepare them to think creatively and strategically about the use of technology in their work while also providing hands-on practical experience. The program will foster a spirit of ingenuity and leadership that supports the law school’s mission and curriculum.

You can view the upcoming schedule and watch previously recorded sessions via our TWEN site. To access:

  1. Sign in to Westlaw at http://lawschool.westlaw.com.
  2. Select the TWEN link on the top of the page.
  3. Select “Add A Course.”
  4. From the list, select the course “Law Practice and Technology Award.”
  5. Click the “Submit” button on the bottom of the page.

Earning the Law Practice and Technology Award

Eligibility for Participation

As part of the Connect to the Future workshop series, students will be able to earn an award of distinction for participating in the workshops. All currently enrolled Oklahoma City University law students are eligible to participate in this program.

How to Earn the Law Practice and Technology Award

Requirements for the Law Practice and Technology Award

Students must attend 8 workshops while in law school and successfully complete a technology assessment (TBA). Workshops will be offered as joint CLE programs with the legal community.

Notice to Spring 2019 graduates:
Spring 2019 graduates will be offered alternative courses or trainings to meet the 8 point requirement. Please contact Jennifer Prilliman for more information.

Logistics

Schedule & Notifications

All workshops are 50 minutes in length. They will be offered at varying times in the fall, spring and summer semesters, Students will be informed of upcoming workshops via e-mail, Facebook (www.facebook.com/oculaw), and Twitter (@OCULawLibrary).

Registration will be limited. Registering information will be available when workshops are announced.
