Additionally, a number of scores and recordings are available in the Leichter Listening Library in the Wanda L. Bass School of Music. Copyright may apply. Biographical history:

Dr. Ray E. Luke was born on 30 May 1928 in Fort Worth, Texas, to Ray H. and Dorothy Luke. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music from Texas Christian University and a PhD in composition from the University of Rochester Eastman School of Music. His professorial career began in Wilson, North Carolina, where he briefly taught at Atlantic Christian College. He moved back to Texas and was a music faculty member at East Texas State College for 13 years. In 1962, he joined the faculty at Oklahoma City University. He retired in 1997 after serving as chair of the instrumental music department, Professor of Composition, and Composer in Residence. He was conductor of the Lyric Theatre for five seasons beginning in 1963 and served as associate conductor and music director of the Oklahoma City Symphony Orchestra. He composed more than 80 works for orchestra, band, chorus, opera, ballet and chamber music.
