Services: Document Delivery

Document Delivery

The Document Delivery service delivers materials owned by Dulaney-Browne Library to the offices of OCU faculty and staff. Materials include books and photocopies of articles within our journal collection. For assistance, contact Interlibrary Loan at 405-208-5874 or [email protected]

To request a book or other physical item such as a dvd or music score, please make a hold request through the Discovery system. Be sure to indicate in the Notes field where you want the item delivered (e.g. your faculty office, department office or mailbox). See the tutorial box on this page if you need assistance on how to make a hold request.

To request an article from our print journal collection, use the button below.

Place a Hold on a Library Item

To request that a library item be pulled from the shelf and held for you at the circulation desk, you first must locate the item in the library catalog using the Discover Items search box. Once you have found the item you want. click on the title to open the record.

If the item is available on the shelf, you will see the Place Hold button. Click it. If you are not already logged into your library user account, you will be prompted to do so. Log in with your OCU Bluelink username and password.

Complete the Hold Request form. For most people, the default selections are fine. If you have any special requests, for instance if you are a faculty member and would like the item delivered to your office (if that service is available), put those in the Notes field. Then click Submit.

You can click Return to Search to request more items, or View Requests to see your currently requested items, where you can also edit or cancel your requests.

Once a staff member has pulled your item from the shelf, the item is ready for pickup and you will receive an email the following morning to let you know it is ready. Normally you can expect to be able to pick up an on-shelf item the following day.
