Fast Case is another database that offers searches on case law and statutes. It is available for free to members of the Oklahoma Bar Association and can be accessed via the Law Library Databases page for public patrons on the public access terminal in the Reference Area.
Cert Report is what FastCase uses to identify later-citing cases, but it does not include the same type of editorial information available in KeyCite or Shepard's that lets the user know if the case is still good law. However, it can be useful for showing subsequent cases that discuss your case.
1. Log on to FastCase.
2. Enter your citation in the search bar.
3. After the case appears, click on "Cert Report" at the top left.
Cert Report displays a list of negative citations and citations regarding your case. Results can be filtered by jurisdiction.
FastCase offers tutorials and webinars to assist researchers.
