E-books: Downloading Ebrary Titles

You will need the following to download titles to your PC or Mac:

1. Internet connection

4. Adobe Digital Editions on your PC/Mac (see supported devices to check for compatibility)

5. Aldiko e-reader app

Ebrary is compatible with any version of the Nook. You must first download the title to your computer and then transfer it to your Nook. Review these instructions for assistance authorizing your Adobe account on your Nook and transferring titles to your Nook.

Please note that not all titles are available for download. However, in some cases you are permitted to save PDFs of chapters or sections and transfer those to your Nook.

Depending on your device, you may be able to download Ebrary titles directly to phone or tablet if they are compatible with Adobe's e-book software and have an available e-reader application. A list of compatible devices is available from Adobe. 

However, with certain devices, you must download the e-book to your computer first and then transfer it to your mobile device using a USB cable. Before doing this, you will need to authorize your device with your Adobe account. Instructions for transferring a downloaded e-book to a device are available here, for both iOS and Android devices.

To access Ebrary titles on your Android mobile device, you will need the following:

1. Internet connection

2. Ebrary account

3. Adobe account

4. A reading app: Ebrary App, Bluefire, or Aldiko

5. Android 2.1 or higher

6. A supported operating system:

• Éclair (version 2.1)
• Froyo (version 2.2)
• Gingerbread (version 2.3.x)
• Honeycomb (version 3.x)
• Ice Cream Sandwich (version 4.0.4)
• Jelly Bean (version 4.1.1 and 4.2.1)

To access Ebrary titles on your Apple mobile device you will need the following:
